Some tips to arrange good quality checking. Most fashion brands have the experience of overseas production. But it is a headache to arrange quality checking.  

The first one is sample confirm.

Before bulk production, sampling is very important. If you approve the sample, everything should be the same as the sample. Sometimes the first sample is not perfect, so you might need to make one more sample. In this period, you can know the quality and details. The most important thing is your manufacturer will follow the sample to arrange the production.  

So you need to ask your suppliers whether they need the sample so you can send the sample back. Usually the workers for sampling is not the same people in bulk production. That is why the bulk production might be wrong. So if they can have the original sample, they can ask the worker to refer the sample to arrange production.

 

The second one is finish feedback. 

Even though you cannot check the real sample, you still can ask your manufacturer send you pictures, videos and measurement when production is finished. Believe me it can help you avoid 80% mistakes. And if you find some mistakes, just calm down and trust your manufacturers. They are professional and they can refine the production. And most important is communication. Also you can ask your manufacturers to send back some of the production samples.  

 

 

The last one is the 3rd party quality control.

3rd party quality control is a big cost for every brand. For some big brands, they have a lot of production, so 3rd party quality control is more convenient.

Some people might ask, “I don't know how to do quality checking and I do not have the money to pay for 3rd party quality control. What should I do?” 

Before you arrange bulk production, ask your manufacturer whether they have quality checking.  There are two kinds of manufacturers. Some manufacturers produce clothing, the other manufacturer have the capability for production and quality checking . So if you don't have the knowledge to arrange quality check, you can trust your manufacturer. And always ask them to give you more feedback.
